Growing Beach Tennis
Across the UK

Inclusive, accessible and year-round sport

Who We Are

Beach Tennis UK (BTUK) is a Brighton-based non-profit organisation who founded Beach Tennis in the UK, growing and promoting it across the UK — both coastal and inland. For over 15 years, we’ve delivered tournaments, coaching programmes, and community initiatives that make the sport inclusive, accessible, and delivered year-round where possible, supporting healthier communities and active lifestyles.

Our Mission

  • Make beach tennis accessible and welcoming to people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds

  • Grow grassroots participation and develop beach tennis across the UK

  • Use beach tennis to support wellbeing, confidence, social connection and stronger communities

  • Provide coaching, events, competitions and development opportunities for players, young people and volunteers

Impact & Community

For more than 15 years, BTUK has made beach tennis accessible to people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds, currently engaging hundreds of people each year through:

  • Free and low-cost taster sessions and school outreach programmes

  • Regular grassroots activity with structured development, so players can enjoy the sport recreationally or progress through competitive pathways if they choose.

  • Inclusive community activity, coaching and volunteer development initiatives

  • Current and previous community partnerships and programmes including Team Domenica, Special Olympics Sussex/Grace Eyre Foundation, Brighton & Hove Council Healthy Lifestyles, Ageing Well Festival, Sussex Injury Clinic and Tennis Sussex
